PSV celebrated: “Impressive”

The versatile Croat is moreover, at the age of 37, still one of the main players of the Croatian national team. After the final whistle, the PSV winger is enthusiastically praised in the Croatian media.

The versatility of the PSV player is not overlooked either. ''Sometimes he plays on the left, sometimes on the right, sometimes as a winger, sometimes as a defender, and if necessary he would probably spend half the time in goal. Against Czechia, he again looked like a man who only uses the calendar to know when the next match is'', said Germanijak.

Alongside Perisic, the outlet Vecernji also points to 41-year-old Luka Modric, the maker of the 0-1. ''Their constant performances at the highest level in world football bear witness to unprecedented professionalism and dedication to the national team. Especially their showing on the biggest world stage, the World Cup, is impressive'', it says.
