Peter Bosz has no doubt: ‘I really mean that.’

Despite all the purchases Ajax has made this transfer summer, Peter Bosz is of the opinion that PSV still has the best squad in the Netherlands. Bosz says this in the program Masterclass: The Secret of Peter Bosz on Omroep Brabant.

The rehearsal master was a guest at the Muziekgebouw in Eindhoven and was presented by host Marcel van Herpen with a number of fairly tricky questions. This broadcast will be shown starting next week on Omroep Brabant.

The transfer summer is now definitively over and Bosz looks at the latest news at the club. ''I would like to start with the contract extension of Amir Bouhamdi. He is doing very well and we are happy that we can keep such good players,'' begins the coach.

During this transfer summer, among others Sven Mijnans, Kodai Sano, Filip Kostic and Lutsharel Geertruida were added to the squad, just like striker Sam Lammers. ''We especially did that because Alassane Pléa got injured and the question is how he will come back'', Bosz says about the transfer of Lammers.

Besides this inbound transfer, PSV also said goodbye to core players Ismael Saibari and Joey Veerman. ''Nowadays we say: 'Ever change a winning team.' Sir Alex Ferguson left Manchester United every few years after getting into arguments with his best players or selling them. Now I’m not a troublemaker, but we do see that renewal can also be a good thing'', says the coach.

Despite a lot of criticism from the fan base because, in their view, technical director Earnest Stewart has been allowed to act, Bosz is still a satisfied man with the transfer summer. ''I think we have again the best squad in the Netherlands. I really mean that. And I also try to convey that to the players. That doesn’t mean that we automatically become champions. We still have to show it,'' said the PSV coach.
