Leased PSV player speaks his mind on the goal: “Who knows what the future has in store”
1 min readIsaac Babadi is being loaned this season by PSV to Sparta Rotterdam. Babadi did not feature in Peter Bosz's plans this season.
Already during the preparations it became clear that Bosz would not have a place in his squad for the attacking midfielder. Last season, Babadi was still loaned out by PSV to Royal Antwerp FC in Belgium, without success.
In 2023, the midfielder seemed to be about to experience his breakthrough when he made his debut on 4 August in the won match against Feyenoord (0-1) for the Johan Cruyff Shield. A few days later, Babadi scored his first goal in the Champions League qualifying round against Sturm Graz.
Despite the fact that the former talent failed to break through, and partly because of that, the PSV player is now loaned out to Sparta Rotterdam. If it’s up to the midfielder himself, the club will also exercise the purchase option at the end of this season, meaning that Babadi will officially be a Spartan from next season.

That lets the midfielder know in a report from RTV Rijnmond. Babadi also knows which amount has to be paid in order to be permanently taken over by the team from Rotterdam-West.
''I know that, but I don’t know if it’s useful to say that. My goal is indeed to have that option highlighted. That would mean that I’ve had a good season here. Who knows what the future then holds'', Babadi is candid.
Despite that, the loaned PSV player does not feel extra pressure from outside. ''No. Someone asked me earlier whether I feel like I’m standing at a crossroads and that it can go either way. I don’t really look at it that way. I’ve started a new project and I’m slowly mapping out my own path. Of course, this season can give me a boost in the right direction, but I don’t put extreme pressure on myself'', said the midfielder.
