German media turn their sights on Saibari
1 min readLast weekend, FC Bayern Munchen beat 1. FC Union Berlin 7-0. Former PSV player Ismael Saibari scored the 5-0.
That was Saibari's first goal for FC Bayern since his arrival from PSV. Last summer, the midfielder left PSV for a fee of around 55 million euros.
For his goal from last Friday, Saibari was also already responsible for three assists in service of Der Rekordmeister. In the German media, there are above all positive developments being seen in the former mainstay of PSV.
The Moroccan international arrived injured in Munich and thereby also fell behind. “At the World Cup, he looked agile, alert, and powerful. Understandably, Saibari couldn’t yet fully show that first aspect in his first weeks in Munich, but his form has now been on the rise,” writes Kicker.
The outlet speaks about impressive statistics for Saibari. ''Four direct contributions to goals in relation to his playing time is a respectable figure. Where and how Saibari will find his place in the star team remains to be seen. October promises to be a busy month for Bayern. A strong Saibari, who can play well in three attacking positions, would certainly come in handy. His goal definitely creates expectations for the future,'' Kicker said.
In Munich and the state of Bavaria, the Oktoberfest is now being celebrated, which Saibari has to miss out on due to international commitments with Morocco. Despite that, the former PSV player isn’t bothered by it.
''It's not really my thing, because I don't drink anyway. But if you're part of Munich, of Bavaria, then there's always some reason to celebrate, right? Maybe next year?'', the midfielder said to the camera of ViaPlay after the match against the team from Berlin.

Oktoberfest overslaan omdat Marokko moet, respect.
