Famous Ajax players look forward to the duel with PSV—and fear for PSV
1 min readNext Saturday, Ajax - PSV will play the first top match of the 2026/2027 season in the Eredivisie. At 8 p.m., both teams will kick off at the Johan Cruijff Arena.
Both teams had a good general rehearsal ahead of this match. PSV won 1-6 away at FC Utrecht and Ajax won 0-4 away at Telstar, although it did take both teams a while before they started to pull away from the opposition in terms of the scoreline.
Peter Bosz’s team seems to have come up to speed in time, while the Amsterdammers, despite their many big signings, still need to improve their game. Nevertheless, the well-known Ajax supporters Lawrence de Munck and Maarten Vledder—also known as the duo Kale & Kokkie—are looking ahead to next Saturday with great optimism.
This lets the duo know in the Kale & Kokkie Podcast when the men are put the question what kind of match they expect. ''I expect two teams that really go back and forth. It’s really going to be one of those youth-team matches'', supporter Kokkie begins.
Then the Ajax player continues. ''Chances there, chances there and it just stays full throttle like that. Players who can taste the oxygen afterwards, they both want to win. I really think so,'' continues Kokkie, after which Kale chimes in: ''I’m really looking forward to it, you know. It’s just a bit of a thing.''
Both Ajax supporters ultimately expect an Amsterdam victory. ''I think it will be a very high-scoring story. 4-2'', says Kale, after which Kokkie later predicts. ''2-1 Ajax'', says Kokkie.

4-2 Kale of 2-1 Kokkie, bruh allemaal cap. PSV die "op tijd op stoom" is, tegen Ajax in de Arena voelt als een wedstrijd waar PSV dieper gaat, 0-2 of 1-3 soort vibe. 🔥⚽
Die openingszin over 0-4 bij Telstar zegt genoeg: ze moeten tempo maken, maar vooral vast blijven bij omschakelmomenten. Met "kansen daar, kansen daar" verwacht ik vooral PSV-momenten aan beide kanten, maar Ajax zal het verdedigend wel lastig krijgen.
Idk, Ajax heeft wel veel ingekocht, maar als het spel nog niet klopt krijg je meteen duels tegen PSV. Toch vind ik die 4-2 en 2-1 voorspellingen juist wel grappig, tbh klinkt als open wedstrijd.
2-1 ajax... oké kale & kokkie, ik ruik hoop. maar een doelpuntrijk verhaal kan alleen als beide teams echt durven. PSV op 20:00 in de Johan Cruijff Arena is meestal geen grap, dus ik ben benieuwd wie het als eerste op ritme krijgt.
"Het wordt echt zo'n pupillenwedstrijd" is natuurlijk lekker praten als je nog werk op spelpatroon hebt. Benieuwd of Bosz ze dan in de omschakeling gaat straffen, want PSV loopt graag door na de eerste goal. 👀
idk hoor, ajax heeft veel gekocht maar nog niet genoeg spelverbetering volgens het artikel. als bosz goed staat en die 0-4 betrouwbaar was qua ruimtes, dan komt die 2-1 ajax voorspelling over als wishful thinking 🤡

Utrecht stond 1-6 en die bedoelen echt dat PSV kan doorpakken. Maar die gasten in Amsterdam roepen weer "pupillenwedstrijd", lol, dat wordt eerder een test op tempo en diepte bij Ajax.
Lawrence de Munck en Maarten Vledder praten kansen, kansen, kansen... tja, als je defensie er niet strak op staat dan krijg je ook kansen tegen. PSV heeft de laatste tijd juist lef en snelheid, ik verwacht eerder dat ajax moeite krijgt met het op adem komen na balverlies. ⚽🔥
Vier-twee of twee-een ajax, serieus? lol. als PSV met datzelfde gemak scoort dan wordt het geen pupillenwedstrijd maar gewoon controle met snelle omschakelingen.
pupillenwedstrijd wordt het dus volgens kale & kokkie... ajax krijgt weer reden om te schieten op emotie. tbh dat 1-6 bij utrecht klinkt alsof bosz gewoon tempo wil forceren, niet wachten.
