ESPN analyst points to PSV defense: “Is he basically just lost him?”
1 min readDespite a 1-2 lead a quarter of an hour before time, PSV lost 3-2 in Enschede to FC Twente on Sunday afternoon.

It's a simple ball over the top and Geertruida is basically just got rid of him'', says the former PSV player.
Also the winning goal by the Tukkers, which came from a cleared free kick by PSV, is, in the view of former footballer, worrying for Bosz's side. ''If you go 2-2, as a top club you have to go for the winner, but you always have to keep an eye on the back line. After a missed chance by PSV, everything is wide open. Weidmann, of course, does this very well in itself, but PSV is simply not positioned properly,'' said Vink.

Die winnende treffer uit een afgeslagen vrije trap snap ik niet echt. Als je 2-2 weg geeft, moet de restverdediging meteen staan, anders lig je open na elke gemiste kans. Tbh, Bosz krijgt dit echt op zijn bord.
"Geertruida is hem eigenlijk gewoon kwijt" ... bruh dat is toch te makkelijk. Ik snap dat je druk wil zetten, maar dit is toch echt slecht afgestemd. 🤬

Marciano Vink legt het precies bloot: als je zo hoog dekt, moet je of Maúro op de lijn hebben of Geertruida die man strak volgen. "simpel bal eroverheen" is precies waar het misging, en daarna wordt het kansen weggeven in plaats van controle. 💀
"je iemand als Weghorst niet de diepte in mag laten lopen" ja idd, maar dan moet je ook het centrum compacter houden. Als PSV op vrije trapniveau zo'n afscherming mist, dan is het niet alleen pech, dan is het positie. 💀
De hele restverdediging stond er bij die 3-2 bij alsof het een training was. Jammer, want Bosz zet normaal wel druk... maar hier kwam het omschakelen te makkelijk. 🙄
Die zin over Geertruida die Weghorst
Man man, 1-2 tot aan 75e en dan 3-2. Dat centrum naar voren verdedigen klinkt logisch, maar als Weghorst de diepte pakt ben je gewoon klaar. 🔥
Vink heeft wel een punt hoor. "Geertruida is hem eigenlijk gewoon kwijt" is precies hoe het voelde bij de gelijkmaker. Als je zo hoog dekt, moet je die ene bal meteen goed afkappen.
Tbh die ruimte achterin na die 1-2 was gewoon pijnlijk. Weghorst mag ook echt niet vrij lopen op diepte, en dan sta je ineens te kijken. 🔥
