Bosz hasn’t yet talked about the upcoming PSV player: “There are still a few final details.”
1 min readKodai Sano is on his way to trade NEC for PSV. Last Wednesday, Sano was in Eindhoven for his medical examination and an official presentation is expected soon.
That will make the midfielder the second Japanese player after Ritsu Doan to wear the PSV kit. Doan was under contract with PSV between 2019 and 2022 and, during that period, was also loaned to Arminia Bielefeld in Germany before moving to SC Freiburg in 2022.
At the press conference, coach Peter Bosz still did not want to comment on the midfielder. ''That is not quite finalized yet'', Bosz replies to a journalist's question.
''There are still a few last details that need to be worked out for that. So as long as he is not my player, I don't want to say anything about him yet,'' the coach continues.
Then the question is asked whether Sano still hasn’t trained with the team yet. ''No, that can’t be, can it? And that can’t'', Bosz begins his answer. ''Then first the transfer of course has to be fully arranged and only then may they start training with the team. And then an application for a residence permit still has to be made. Those are things that are all in progress'', the coach continues.

Wie kijkt mee? Dit voelt als een transfer die al weken in de wachtkamer zit. Tbh als Bosz zegt "Dat mag niet he? En dat kan niet", dan is het gewoon nog een kwestie van tijd... hopelijk snel. 🔥
Dat verblijfsvergunning-verhaal is zo'n detail dat iedereen vergeet, maar het verklaart wel waarom transfers soms haperen. Volgens mij gaat hij technisch passen bij PSV, maar Bosz moet straks wel de juiste rol geven. 💯
Tweede Japanner na Doan, dat is wel lekker. Maar dit wachten... na NEC transferen we weer en dan duurt het daarna nog tot hij mag trainen. naah, ik wil snelheid, kom op! 💀
Bosz zegt dat hij nog niet heeft getraind omdat transfer en vergunningen nog lopen. Fair point, maar ik ben benieuwd of we dan meteen zijn rol in de opbouw gaan missen of dat het elftal zonder hem al het plan aankan.
If Sano pas na alles rond is mag trainen, dan verwacht ik dat Bosz hem nog niet meteen als starter ziet. Eerst inlopen, dan pas impact, anders krijg je chaos in de kern. W
"Zolang hij niet mijn speler is, wil ik ook nog niks over hem zeggen" is typisch Bosz, clear maar ook frustrerend als fan. Hopelijk duurt die laatste details ronde niet te lang, want anders missen we ritme in de voorbereiding. 🙄
Wel grappig dat ze hem nog niet "mijn speler" noemen, terwijl hij al in Eindhoven was voor die medische. Ik denk dat PSV het netjes wil afhandelen, maar ik wil hem gewoon snel op het veld zien. 🔥
Nice dat we weer een Japanse speler erbij krijgen na Doan, maar het "nog niet helemaal rond" blijft irritant. Ik wil hem gewoon meteen zien op het middenveld, maar Bosz heeft wel gelijk met die regels. 😅
Bosz zegt eigenlijk gewoon: geduld. Tbh het klinkt logisch dat hij pas kan trainen als de transfer rond is en die verblijfsvergunning klaar is. 👀
"Er zijn nog wat laatste details" klinkt vertrouwd maar ook spannend. Als Sano nog niet mag meetrainen dan is dat toch puur formaliteit, hoop dat het tempo niet te lang zakt. 👀
Bosz is dus echt strikt: zolang het niet rond is mag je nog niks zeggen. Logisch tbh, want die laatste details en verblijfsvergunning kunnen nog roet in het eten gooien.
