Bayern supporters react in large numbers after Saibari’s first game | Bayern fan doesn’t take the transfer fee for Saibari seriously: “50 million euros?!”
1 min readIsmael Saibari has played his first match for FC Bayern—and in style. The Moroccan international, who came from PSV, knew exactly how to make an immediate impression as a substitute, providing two perfect assists.
Kompany did not start Saibari but brought him on in the second half. The fans of Bayern immediately seem to be lyrical about their signing, which many Bayern fans consider cheap. What’s more, fans of the Southerners point to the paid €50 million and call the attacking midfielder who came from PSV a bargain.
In Germany, the media have never been too reluctant to crack critical notes when it comes to FC Bayern and the signings, but even the authoritative German media couldn’t ignore the assists and the debut of Saibari. “Substitute Saibari handled things technically well and with conviction, providing the assist for the 4-1, and he sent Luís Díaz on his way at the right moment for the fifth goal,” Kicker wrote, following the lyrical coverage from BILD.
Technical director Max Eberl also responded after the 5-1 victory. 'Those were two crosses, and for both he gets a score of one. Isi is increasingly coming into his own. We’re happy that he’s with us,' the official said to Sky Sport.

Ismael Saibari on which teammate impressed him the most: "Harry Kane. I’ve already discussed it with friends.. Harry is simply the best striker. I try to learn from him." [@kerry_hau] pic.twitter.com/TgCmfqlEqh

Im glad the article mentions the right back's overlap as the key. When that run comes early, the whole left side opens up too. But they have to actually pick the right pass, not the safe one 🚀
Not convinced about the substitution timing. If you wait too long, the press stays on and the fresh legs dont change the rhythm. I'd rather see earlier tweaks, even if the game is still 0-0 👀
Need the No. 8 to connect the lines faster. Right now we get the ball, slow down, and the opponent resets. That is not peak, that is mid, sorry.
Wie kijkt mee? 😂 i feel like its always the same story, we play great for 20 minutes then suddenly its nervy. Maybe its coaching on the game management, not the players.
"PSV Inside" is right about the intensity, but man, we still look shaky in build-up under pressure. If the midfield doesnt step out together, those counters will keep hurting us 💀
"More control" my ass. 😂 If we arent more direct into the box, we will dominate without scoring. Jong PSV would press harder than this sometimes.
Goede vraag: is this really about "more control" or just about not conceding cheap transitions? Tbh i worry we will keep defending too high, then get punished by a fast counter. Need better rest-defence from the midfield.
If the article is hinting that we need the winger to tuck inside more, i fully agree. Till the final third clicks, our buildup still feels a bit predictable sometimes. Let's hope Slot-style bravery shows up vs the bigger teams ⚽👀
I agree with the setup, but I think the article underestimates how important the fullback overlap is. When they hold too high, transitions become chaos. Imo they should be braver with runs earlier.
tbh if psv want to control games, they gotta stop giving away those half-space turnovers. fr, wingers need to be sharper with their first touch or we gonna get punished by any pressing team 🔥
