1 min readAlongside Kodai Sano, Filip Kostic has also meanwhile arrived in Eindhoven to undergo a medical assessment. Kostic landed already on Wednesday morning at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and is about to sign a two-year contract with PSV.
The 33-year-old Serbian is transfer-free after his departure from Juventus and PSV is looking at the left-footed player as the ideal replacement for Anass Salah-Eddine. Salah-Eddine has returned to AS Roma to go after his chance there, but up to now that move has been anything but successful.
In the past, the 33-year-old Kostić had already played for FC Groningen and in 2014 the 72-time Serbian international moved from Serbia to VfB Stuttgart. Via, among others, HSV and Eintracht Frankfurt, the left-footed player settled in 2022 at Juventus.
Now Kostic therefore continues his career at PSV provided he passes the medical examination. After that, the Serb may soon call himself a PSV player.
PSV's interest in Kostic was nothing new. Earlier, transfer journalist Mounir Boualin of Soccernews.nl reported that the club had the left-footed player on its wish list for some time.

ngl, benieuwd of hij fysiek nog genoeg is. 33 is niet oud, maar op PSV-niveau moet je ook elke week top energie hebben, zeker als je mee moet in de omschakeling. Wel transfervrij is natuurlijk 💯
Kostic erbij is echt een slimme zet voor de linkerkant. Als hij de medische keuring haalt dan krijgen we meteen ervaring en tempo in die zone, en Salah-Eddine is gewoon niet doorgegaan zoals we wilden.
