Van der Vaart sees a weak point at PSV: “I’m not yet convinced”

Ziggo Sport analyst Rafael van der Vaart also noticed that. Van der Vaart said on Monday evening in the program Rondo on Ziggo Sport, where PSV general manager Marcel Brands was a guest, that he still is not a fan of the Czech stopper.
''It didn't start well with a blunder by the goalkeeper. It was the first serious ball and that one goes in. Then it gets difficult against Sparta, which plays with five people behind. Try getting through that'', began Brands his match analysis after a question from presenter Wytse van der Goot.
After that, Van der Vaart joined the discussion. ''I do think Kovar is a weak goalkeeper, to be honest. He’s made quite a few of these kinds of mistakes. I’m not yet convinced. But then again, that isn’t really so important,'' said the former midfielder.
After that, Brands pointed out that the goalkeeper was nevertheless important twice, with a save during a 2-1 score in favor of PSV. ''He makes a mistake, but you see that he doesn't have any trouble with it afterward. He saves two more balls, so that's also good again,'' said the general director of PSV.

tbh die eerste blunder tegen Sparta is echt een keepersfout, niet per ongeluk. Maar goed, hij had daarna wel z'n reactie, 2-1 redingen zijn niet waardeloos. Ik blijf wel kritisch, want dit soort foutjes zie je te vaak.
Tbh die fout was echt opzichtig. Maar oké, twee reddingen bij 2-1 is wel waardevol, dat ontkent niemand. Toch moet Bosz dan vertrouwen hebben, want Sparta gaat juist druk zetten, en dan mag je niet telkens twijfelen. 👀
"Ik ben nog niet overtuigd" is precies het gevoel. Brands heeft gelijk dat Kovar daarna nog wat terugpakt, maar die fouten stapelen zich wel. Als je keeper je vanaf minuut 1 al op achterstand zet, dan is dat geen detail.
Van der Vaart zegt gewoon wat wij ook zagen. Eerste serieuze bal erin, en dan is het tegen Sparta altijd janken als je achter staat. Ben benieuwd of PSV dit echt als groeiproces ziet of dat er actie nodig is.
"Ik ben nog niet overtuigd" ben ik het mee eens. Bij zo'n 0-1 achterstand wordt het altijd meteen ploeteren, en Bosz kan niet elke week op karakter leven. Als Brands zegt hij pakt 2 ballen, prima, maar fouten kosten ons punten in plaats van alleen maar spanning.
Bro Kovar gaat echt te vaak in zo'n awkward moment. Eerste serieuze bal en gelijk raak, dat is precies wat je tegen Sparta niet mag doen. Wel snap ik dat hij daarna twee keer redde, maar fr moet er meer rust komen 🔥
Idk wat Bosz wil met Kovar hoor... op zo'n eerste bal meteen blunder, dan wordt het meteen spannend. Wel knap dat hij daarna toch nog twee keer redt, maar die onzekerheid blijft. 🔥
