“There must and will come another champion.”
1 min readNo, there was no question of class-based justice in Enschede on Sunday afternoon. PSV lost a bit too flatteringly to FC Twente, but a few things did stand out.
No, we do not necessarily agree with PSV fan Marcel Brandts’ opinion on X after FC Twente - PSV. The style of play of PSV under Peter Bosz is one that, from time to time, calls for counterattacks with promising situations, resulting in a goal by the opponent.
Defend better and think less as an attacker, the PSV defense could well do well, can we now cautiously but steadfastly conclude after three years of Peter Bosz at PSV.
Still, the refereeing decisions in Enschede are certainly worth mentioning. No, PSV lose not because of a referee against FC Twente, and not because of a typically weak Kovar either, but the referee on duty once again made it into a debatable whole. Even so, as we said, we are not immediately in agreement with PSV fan Marcel Brandts on X, but his opinion does make a point.

Need the fullbacks to overlap early, otherwise the inside game gets clogged. Wingers should take the man, then let the 10 or the 6 arrive late, thats peak PSV football 🔥⚽
"PSV Inside" saying the pressing is the key... tbh it depends on who starts the counter-press. If Gakpo is not doing the first chase, the whole thing turns into a walkback, and thats where we always get exposed 👀
If PSV are actually going with that inside-forwards setup, i feel like it will finally free up Xavi Simons. Lets see if the midfield can keep the ball though, because losing it in those half-spaces will be punished fast.
