PSV supporters direct their anger after their defeat en masse at one person

Noah Fernandez seemed set to drive the Eindhoven side to the winning goal past Fortuna Sittard on a turbulent night for Ryan Flamingo, but deep into stoppage time a substitute forward still ensured the bitter equalizer.
At rest, PSV had to deal with a 0-1 deficit at home after a very costly mistake by Ryan Flamingo. Armando Obispo first let the ball go through, after which Flamingo played it far too short back to goalkeeper Matej Kovár. Ole Romeny managed to intercept and fired the 0-1 in.
Flamingo managed to put right their mistake in the second half by heading a corner kick back into the net against the ropes, and a quarter of an hour before time it seemed like Noah Fernandez would shoot PSV out of the counterattack and into the roses: 2-1. In stoppage time, however, things went wrong after all. Substitute Édouard Michut got the ball at his feet and blasted it 2-2 into the ropes. And so the reigning champions PSV started the new Eredivisie season with a slip.
Afterwards, the anger among many PSV supporters on X was great. Flamingo was the one who got bitten after his blunder, but above all technical director Earnes Stewart is taking a lot of flak, because he still hasn't managed to buy a new center-back.

"nog steeds niet in is geslaagd" is pijnlijk, maar wel terecht. Als er een vacature is op CV en je start meteen met dit soort scenario's, dan ruik je problemen. 2-2 in de blessuretijd, echt zuur... kijk, boos zijn we, maar we willen ook gewoon kwaliteit in die verdediging.
Stewart is the problem? Sure, maar als je "peperdure fout" van Flamingo hebt, dan moet je ook durven zeggen dat Romeny en de hele organisatie beter moeten. Je komt 0-1 achter, dan 2-1 voor, en dan 2-2 weggeven. Dat is gewoon niet PSV-level, niet nu.
🔥 Ryan Flamingo knikt bij die hoek ook nog, dus hij vecht terug... maar die eerste fout is echt te knullig op zo'n moment. Michut die in blessuretijd de 2-2 binnenramt, en dan sta je weer met lege handen. ngl, dit is geen toeval meer, dit is gebrek aan rust achterin.
"die gebeten hond" klopt wel, maar ik snap die woede richting Stewart ook. Obispo liet doorschieten, Flamingo te kort terug, en dan ga je tegen een ploeg als Fortuna al meteen betalen. Koop gewoon die echte centrumverdediger, dan houd je dit soort jarenlange pijn op.
tbh Flamingo maakte die fout echt ziek duur, maar dit voelt ook als structureel gedoe. De verdediging staat nog niet goed genoeg, en dan gaat het altijd vroeg of laat fout. Stewart moet nu echt knopen doorhakken, anders krijgen we dit hele seizoen gedonder.
