Columnist and Ajax player criticize Peter Bosz: “He played the country parson again”
1 min readAfter the match Ajax - PSV, it was mainly about the foul by Ruben van Bommel on defender Aaron Bouwman. Around the eighty-minute mark, Van Bommel made a clumsy challenge on Bouwman, after which things went haywire and a fight broke out.
PSV ultimately won the match 1-3 at the Johan Cruijff Arena and in doing so delivered an early blow as well. However, it is especially the foul by the PSV winger that seems to stick in people’s minds.
So too with columnist and also Ajax player Henk Spaan. In Het Parool, Spaan writes about Van Bommel's violation, in which the columnist also refers to his father Mark van Bommel.
''The comparison with his father was often made. Unfairly. Mark van Bommel was a cynic who first looked around before planting his elbow. 'What Ruben pulled off had little to do with cynical results-oriented football,' says the columnist.
Also PSV coach Peter Bosz has to face the journalist. ''He played the village pastor again with the soothing analysis: He wanted to protect himself. Get lost, coach. The brakes were hit through as a result of short-circuiting in the head. Bosz: He is affected in the dressing room. Bouwman was taken, affected, by ambulance to the hospital'', Spaan said.

Tbh ik vind die verwijzing naar Mark van Bommel nergens op slaan. Of het nou "cynicus" is of niet, Ruben maakt een keuze en die elleboog/tackle is gewoon rood-waardig. Bosz mocht daarna best boos zijn, je ziet het toch? 1-3 maar deze scene blijft hangen. 👀
Lmao Spaan over "kortsluiting in het hoofd".. bruh, dat is echt melkkoekje verpakken. Ruben moet gewoon volwassen handelen en de ploeg beschermen, niet zo'n risico nemen. En Bosz mag dan reageren, maar laat het voetbal spreken.
Eens, Bosz's reactie hoeft niet zo lang, maar Spaan gaat wel heel ver met die "kortsluiting in het hoofd" taal. Bouwman moest met ambulance naar het ziekenhuis, dat is het enige echte punt hier. Walgelijk dat Ajax het probeert te framen als verdediging. 🔥
Als je "Hij wilde zichzelf beschermen" hoort, vraag ik me toch af: waarom wordt Bouwman dan zo hard geraakt? Los van de discussie over Bosz, dat vond je gewoon gevaarlijk voetbal, man. 💀
"Hij wilde zichzelf beschermen" oké, maar dan nog is het gewoon een overtreding van niveau derby-provocatie. Het ergste is dat Bouwman geraakt werd en meteen medische chaos kwam. Je kunt boos zijn op Bosz, maar het incident zelf was gewoon dom.
"Hij speelde weer de dorpspastoor"... bruh, Spaan doet alsof het een preek was. Ik snap de frustratie, maar die vechtpartij kwam door Van Bommel, niet door Bosz die analyse geeft. 😅
i call cap. Spaan doet alsof Bosz alleen maar excuses zit te maken. Als iemand "beschermen" zegt na zo'n charge, dan vraag je erom dat het vuur groter wordt. Maar goed, PSV heeft wel gewonnen.
Die "dorpspastoor" vergelijking is echt zonde zeg. Bosz probeert misschien te de-escaleren, maar op het veld moet je gewoon doorpakken. Uiteindelijk 1-3 en PSV laat zien dat je dit soort agressie niet hoeft te slikken. 🔥⚽
Tbh Bosz die "aangedaan" is, maar het ging om een overtreding met ambulance erbij. Dan snap ik echt niet hoe Spaan dit kan framen alsof het vooral praat was. Van Bommel was gewoon fout.
Bosz wordt weer afgemaakt alsof hij de overtreding zelf zet. Tbh, Van Bommel's timing was gewoon dom, maar dat "dorpspastoor" gezeur is echt zonde van de nuance.
