AZ fans refuse to speak about available tickets against PSV: “Why can’t that happen anymore?”
1 min readThe 1,237 supporters of AZ who traveled with the team promised a great evening on Sunday since their club won 0-4 against PSV and thereby secured the Johan Cruijff Shield. Nevertheless, at least one AZ supporter showed his worst side by disrupting the moment of silence before the match in memory of Rob Dieperink.
Among the fans who traveled with Alkmaar, there was also some confusion before the match about the fact that AZ was only given 1600 tickets in Eindhoven, meaning that fans therefore had to take their places in the away section. ''They have 35,000 and we have 1600, that is surely not fair'', said an AZ supporter to NH Nieuws ahead of kick-off.
Until 2016, the battle for the Johan Cruijff Shield was always settled in Amsterdam, and since the 2017/2018 season, the stadium of the league champions has been the setting for the season opener. Some Alkmaar fans therefore also think that the KNVB should go back to the Johan Cruijff Arena.
''Why can’t that be done anymore? That was also a beautiful sight at the cup final, with those two sides full of fanatic supporters'', shouts another fan.
''They should have just left it in the ArenA. You can fit 30,000 from PSV and 30,000 from AZ there'', that same AZ fan concludes.

Ik ben het eens met het principe dat het KNVB beter kan organiseren, maar de oplossing is niet meteen KNVB terug naar de ArenA. Eerst maar eens kijken hoe die 1600 exact verdeeld zijn en waarom dat niet omhoog kon. En ja, die opmerking over "twee zijdes met fanatiekelingen" klinkt leuk, tot het fout gaat.
Ze zeggen "30.000 PSV en 30.000 AZ", maar dan wordt het toch een soort wedstrijd binnen de wedstrijd. Ik wil gewoon volle tribunes voor PSV, niet dat het een soort supporters-handicap debat wordt. 👀
"Ze hadden het gewoon in de ArenA moeten laten." idk, alsof PSV dan niet gewoon weer een side vol trekt. 0-4 of niet, AZ denkt elke keer dat het te klein is... smh 😂
"Waarom kan dat niet meer?" Ja hoor, want bij de bekerfinale is het 100x beter geregeld... NOT. Stadion capaciteit klopt altijd, maar emoties vinden altijd een reden om te schreeuwen.
Die minuut stilte verstoren voor Rob Dieperink is echt smerig. Daar kan geen excuus bij, ook niet als je een slechte kaartverdeling vindt. 🤬
Ik snap de frustratie, maar 0-4 is ook een duidelijke boodschap. Dan kan je niet tegelijk fanatieke sfeer eisen en doen alsof de rest van het stadion jou iets schuldig is. 🐐
"Waarom kan dat niet meer?" snap ik wel, maar KNVB moet ook kijken naar veiligheid en logistiek. Als het in Amsterdam zou kunnen met 30.000 + 30.000, mooi, maar in Eindhoven is het gewoon niet schaalbaar.
Tbh die ticketverdeling is irritant, maar 1600 in Eindhoven is gewoon wat er logistiek kan. Als het in Amsterdam had gemoeten hadden ze dat eerder moeten regelen, niet nu gaan lopen klagen.
Die minuut stilte verstoren is echt kapot, zelfs als je ruzie hebt over kaarten. Wat maakt het uit waar het gespeeld wordt als je zo omgaat met zo'n moment... 🤬
Tbh 1600 is echt weinig als je ziet dat AZ met massa meereist. Maar ja, het is niet alleen een stadionding, Eindhoven heeft nu eenmaal beperkingen met vakken en routing. Volgende keer beter regelen i guess.
